This weekend was beautiful. I thought I'd share some pictures of the garden yesterday.
We have quite a few apple trees blooming.
Garlic, planted in October around now-gone fall broccoli. Growing behind curly parsley that is coming back to life. |
Sugar snap peas climbing with newly-transplanted lettuces behind.
| Purple-sprouting broccoli. Planted last July, I think. |
| More snow peas just transplanted. Overwintering bulb onions behind them. |
Rainbow chard from last fall. It lived under a hoop all winter and I'm so grateful for it this spring. |
New lettuces, mizuno, radiccio. Overwintered lettuce is still feeding us... I've been so pleased with it. |
| Barrel-o-mint |
| I see blossoms on the strawberries!! |
Planted some espalier cherry trees on the north garden fence 2 weeks ago. Easier to keep hungry birds out of them... I hope. |
| Oregano taking over marjoram taking over lambs ears taking over bee balm. |
| Kids playing. Barrels make remarkably good toys. |
